Health and safety
Every players health and safety is our primary concern. Although we believe rugby can be played in a safe and fun environment, it is a contact sport and we do want to work together with players and parents to minimize injuries and lasting effects of injuries. All of our coaches are USA Rugby certified to ensure that all players are coached to the highest standard and looked after.
What is rugby?
The second most popular team sport in the world (played in more than 110 countries), rugby is a fast-paced, ball-handling game. Running, kicking, passing, catching and tackling are prominent, and all rugby players handle the ball.
Why rugby?
Rugby is excellent training in many ways. The physical benefits are obvious: developing endurance and agility from open field sprints back-to-back as well as the explosive power needed for tackling and wrestling for the ball. The mental benefits are less obvious, but far more valuable and long-term – benefits such as self-confidence, teamwork, discipline and many more.
